The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) is a public research university in Richardson, Texas. It is part of the University of Texas System. Founded in 1961 as the Graduate Research Center of the Southwest, the institution was renamed the Southwest Center for Advanced Studies in 1967 and became part of the University of Texas System in 1969. It adopted its current name in 1996. UT Dallas is located in the heart of the Telecom Corridor®, one of the largest technology hubs in the United States. The university has grown rapidly since its inception and now has an enrollment of more than 25,000 students. UT Dallas is home to over a hundred academic programs, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral degrees. The university is also home to several research centers, including the Callier Center for Communication Disorders, the William B.
